Why

Explore how fashion photography and expressive typography can share a page without making the reading experience feel crowded.

What

A magazine cover and a series of editorial spreads developed as a personal design concept.

How

Modular grids, shifts in type scale, controlled cropping and generous whitespace create contrast while keeping the publication coherent.

Editorial direction

Two moods, one visual system.

Monochrome layouts sharpen the attitude. Neutral and blush spreads slow the rhythm without breaking the publication's hierarchy.

Scale sets the beat.

Oversized letters establish focus, while smaller columns and vertical text guide the eye through quieter editorial detail.

Image-led hierarchy
Fashion photography establishes the focal point before supporting copy enters the reading path.
Elastic type scale
Mastheads, initials and display words expand or recede to shape the pace of each spread.
Controlled whitespace
Open areas separate dense editorial moments and give every collection room to register.

Soft tailoring, held by structure.

Blush, taupe and warm white introduce a calmer chapter. Consistent margins and typographic anchors keep the sequence precise.

Rock-chic contrast changes the tempo.

Black-and-white imagery, sharper crops and compressed type create a more assertive chapter without abandoning the underlying grid.

Designed to read as an object.

Digital mockups test how the cover and spreads hold together at publication scale. They do not represent a physically printed issue.
